Once a Sydney queer and colour shin dig before it made Melbourne its home, Unicorns is back at the Red Rattler Theatre this Monday long weekend for one night only. Queen Unicorn Del Cat has put together something colourful, amazing, ultra queer and a little bit weird/wild with their Sci – fi Safari theme. Think intergalactic warriors, abstract aliens and a bunch of queer goodness and sparkles. With a line up like the below, you can expect to see every queer in the village & have a night to remember.

Miss Kelly Ann Doll is one of the queens of Burlesque within Australia. She was the winner of RAW Australia and was crowed Performance Artist of the Year. She is also well known for winning Miss Burlesque Australia and is the creator of Sydney’s performance art industry night, ‘Red Light Confidential’.
Lillian Starr is one beautiful and bent performance artists. She was one of the sirens featured in the Star Wars Burlesque troop that toured sell out seasons across Australia. She has also performed OS, gracing the stages of Paris and New York.
From colourful Roller Derby personality to on stage stunner, Bullseye Billy is out to impress, undress and make a mess.. a hot mess!
Artist & acrobat. Producer of some of Australia’s most idiosyncratic circus work, touring 26 seasons of 8 shows over the past 8 years.
SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERIES
Archer Magazine Wild & Wonderful Photo-booth
Our buddies at Archer Magazine will be hosting a Photo Booth. They will be shooting punters on real film, that will be old school style developed, then digitised and featured in the next edition of the mag.
Intergalactic Body Painting with Laura Jade Hindes
In true Unicorn fashion, everyone is invited to take off some or all of their clothes in the spirit of art. Our team of talented painters will then deck them out in colour, glitter perfection.
Queer Cupid Matchmaker
Our Newtown celebrity Mac (Chicks with Picks, Free the Nip, rollerskating queen) will be our Queer Cupid for the evening. Every person through the door will be given a fake name written on a name tag and a handful of love letters.
All people have to do is spot a hottie around the room, put the recipients name on the love letter and give to the Cupid. The Cupid will the deliver the love letter and hopefully sparks will fly.
Inaugural Unicorn Dance Comp
Once a year at Unicorns we have a dance comp. Anyone can enter. Contestants have 30 seconds to wow the judges. The winner will then receive some delicious goodies.
Lightsaber Battles
Everyone who walks through the door gets kitted out in glow sticks and complementary lollipops so they can have sword fights and to generally just assist in having a very good time.

This lady doesn’t need much of an intro, internationally renowned spinner and all round lovely person.
Gay Cliché (CANB)
Gay Cliche is the brainchild of Canberra queer icon, Megan Bones. She has just launched a special night for the queer humans of our capital city, something this city was dying out for. Megan kindly donates all her proceeds to important charities around the area. She is also ridiculously good at selecting sweet twerking beats.
Del Lumanta (FBi Radio)
Well known in the The Red Rattler circuit, Del Lumanata will be mashing together some of our fav musical genres, from disco, to house, to that dirty trap beat.
Mira Boru (FBi Radio)
A wonderful lady fresh from the FBi radio station, Mira Boru will be opening our evening with some intergalactic space age beats.
