For ten years a kingdom in Europe was ruled by a dominatrix and her minions

IMAGINE A COUNTRY where men are in complete subservience to women.

Where having a dick means you’re part of a slave-class with no rights, no say in how your society is governed and where you’re publicly humiliated for contravening the strict rules on male subservience.

A nation dedicated to the domination of women, where men are considered no better than farm animals.

FOR OVER TEN YEARS, from 1996 until sometime around 2007-08, Other World Kingdom, located in the buildings and grounds of a 16th-century chateau in the Czech Republic, was governed under the laws of female domination (femdom). An oligarchy of dominatrixes completely ruled over every aspect of society and would punish their male slaves for even the slightest infraction.

One ex-slave described the punishment in gruesome detail:

Every small mistake was punished with the whip. In the evening I was brought to my cell. My hands were bound and I was chained standing with a ring around my neck. I was also gagged. So I had to spend the night standing. In the morning Madame Loreen woke me up, then I had to take my morning exercises and another 20 lashes. Then my breakfast. I was again kept on chains and had to clean the area from leaves. Now I became very tired because I didn’t sleep much the last night. Madame Loreen recognised that and pushed me on with Her whip and kicks.

This feudal Kingdom was ruled by a Queen, Patricia 1, who lorded over OWK as her own private monarchy.

Beneath Queen Patricia 1 were a class of dominatrixes named the “Sublime Ladies”, who formed the nation’s nobility. These women had the right to own the men of the kingdom as slaves. The slaves had absolutely no rights and were considered the property of the Queen and the Sublime Ladies.

The ultimate goal of the Other World Kingdom was to eventually have “as many male creatures under the rule of Superior Women on as much territory as possible.”

THE BDSM LIFESTYLE is often kept behind closed doors. Men who love nothing more than to live in servitude to a dominant women are rarely able to be completely open about their sexuality, for fear of a public humiliation that they actually desire.

To out yourself as a “slave” probably isn’t the best idea – male subs are one of the few remaining groups existing on the spectrum of sexuality who keep to themselves and who are looked down on by “normal” society – not I believe in “normal”.

This is likely due to the patriarchal nature of our societies. Can you imagine a high-powered lawyer outing himself as someone who enjoys having needles put through his nipple by a dominant woman, or a politician revealing his love for pegging?

Didn’t think so.

Male subs pay good money to dominant women so they can indulge their desire to be ruled over for a few hours at a time, and there is a thriving market for Dominatrix’s right here in Australia.

“As a slave, I simply yearn to serve my mistress,” said a client of Sydney-based dominatrix Mistress Anna.

“I want to please her and hopefully be rewarded for my efforts. That reward can come in many ways; recognition, pleasure, pain. I need to make her life easier, to see her happy. If her being happy means pain for me, then so be it.”

But these men, and the women they serve, can only participate in the lifestyle part-time. There is nowhere for them to live according to their desires all day, every day – a place in which they can truly revel in the slave-mistress relationship.

THAT WAS THE IDEA behind Other World Kingdom. Queen Patricia 1 wanted to create an entire nation with a system of government that had BDSM, and specifically femdom, as the guiding principals behind its system of laws.

Men entering the kingdom were required to sign a contract declaring their servitude:

“The sublime lady is free to use, abuse and exploit the slave for any work and activities,” stated one section of the contract. “The slave has no rights whatsoever.”

“There are no boundaries in place, time or situation in which the slave may refuse to obey the directive of the Sublime Lady without risking punishment.”

As well as signing away their rights as human beings, the men were also required to sign over their property:

“By signing this contract all assets… hitherto owned by the slave, become the property of the Sublime lady.”

The conditions the slaves lived in were harsh. They would be held in cages and fed nothing but gruel, and one ex-member of OWK described the conditions as being similar to a concentration camp – some slaves were even dressed in concentration camp outfits.

In contrast, the dominatrixes lived in luxury. The coronation of the Queen featured Patricia walking over a slave carpet and being showered with roses.

EVENTUALLY FINANCIAL PRESSURES forced the closure of OWK sometime around 2007, and in 2008 the property was put up for sale. In the years before its end, the Kingdom had struggled financially. Queen Patricia eventually tried renting the space for BDSM pornography shoots and promoting it as a weekend getaway for people interested in the Femdom lifestyle.

But the money was never consistent enough to keep the Kingdom going, and in 2011 the Kingdom’s website confirmed it was no longer.
