Ruby Rose’s birthday letter to Ellen Page is pretty damn heartwarming

Today is Ellen Page’s birthday, so we should all be celebrating that.

The Canadian actress, who’s starred in everything from big-budget thrillers like Inception to indie gems like Hard Candy, came out during a speech at the Human Rights Campaign’s Time to Thrive conference in 2014.

Page is one of the most prominent and well-spoken Lesbian voices in Hollywood. And now, in a particularly heartwarming letter, Ruby Rose has let actress know what she thinks of her.

“Happy birthday Ellen Page, my beautiful little Pisces soul,” Rose wrote on her Facebook page, going on to credit Page with helping her when she first moved to the United States.

“I never knew how crucial it would be to have loyal and real friends around me in Hollywood until push came to shove and there you were every time, the most honest, the most fearless and the most loyal person I know. When it comes to friendship no one does it better than you. I’m forever grateful and always proud of everything you do.”
