Check out Instagram’s David Bowie-inspired miniseries

Before he surprised us all and went and died in a blaze of artistic glory, David Bowie gave the go-ahead to a collaboration with Instagram for a new mini-series, Unbound, that takes his Blackstar album as inspiration.

Launched last week, the series will feature 16 short clips – “visual interpretations”, in art-speak – of the album.

According to the clearly-Art-Theory-Major publicist who wrote the series’ press release, Unbound “takes the audience on a journey of evocative images inspired by the moods suggested in the album’s music, lyrics and artwork. Each episode of the series is sure to capture the imagination of all who experience it, and will undoubtedly lead to endless speculation and discussion of meaning, metaphor and intention.”

Oh, and it stars Tavi Gevinson too, so there’s that.
