Tanzer + Mojo Juju Magic!

Formidable. Enigmatic. Genre-defying. Fragile. Ballsy. Ambiguous. Raw. Melbourne Musician Mojo Juju has been called many things and yet she is forever hard to define.

By her own explanation, Mojo has never felt comfortable with being categorized and is increasingly deliberate in avoiding labels and defying genres. As a result, it is only in experiencing her live shows that one can begin to understand the full breadth of this dynamic artist.  Lucky for Sydney folks, you can catch her magic this Thursday night at Newtown Social Club.

Mojo Juju sings songs that sound just like that night you can’t quite remember, in that bar you swear you weren’t at, with that girl you promise you’ve never met. 

If you get down early you catch Melbourne beauty Tanzer, the dark and dazzling solo project for Melbourne-based musician and composer Hayley Foster.  Equal parts dreamy, stark and seductive, Tanzer conjures film soundtracks, new-wave divas and other-worldly exotica – but ultimately lives in a genre all its own.
