Heaps Gay Internships Now Open – Come Be Part Of The Team!

Looking for an exciting internship in events/social media?! Heaps Gay is on the lookout! We are on the hunt for 2 amazing new interns to join our small team in Redfern where you’ll get to work on events such as the Heaps Gay Street Party 2018, Newtown Festival, Mardi Gras float curation, monthly parties and more.

Four years ago, Heaps Gay started as a regular series of parties for the LGBTQIA+ kids and their friends, and has since become one of Sydney’s best parties for anyone who wants to have some fun and support local artists & charities.

We collaborate with the likes of Vivid Sydney, Melbourne Music Week, FBi Radio, Groovin the Moo, Mardi Gras Film Festival, Sydney Fringe Festival and many local crews to create some unique events and experiences.

In 2017 Heaps Gay won the FBi SMAC Award for “Best Music Event” and the Time-Out Sydney Award for “Queen of the Party”.

We are looking for the following superstars:

Events: Production, artist liaison, event planning, copywriting, styling.

Curatorial Marketing: Social media, copywriting, curatorial and the list goes on!

The two interns will work both autonomously and collaboratively, as part of the Heaps Gay community and get to work on a bunch of exciting projects.

Requirements:

Min 3 months – 1 day a week working from our office in Redfern.

Note: We will cover expenses. Own Laptop required! We will provide cover letter post 3 months for any relevant study requirements. Within this there is also the opportunity to work on branded events and other content if that’s of interest.
