MARDI GRAS DROP FIRST LINE-UP FOR THE ANNUAL MARDI GRAS PARTY
It’s that time of year again, when Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras start rolling out announcements for who will be taking to the stage at their annual (and epic!) Mardi Gras Party. And next year’s event is already shaping up to be a banger with MG announcing Aussie pioneers PNAU and trans pop sensation Kim Petras as the first two major acts to perform on the night.
These days you can’t enter a dance floor without hearing PNAU’s two biggest songs of 2018, the electric and addictive Chameleon and Go Bang. The trio will be flying in from L.A. exclusively for the Mardi Gras set, performing with a full electronic band set-up and guest vocalist.
In what will be her first live performance in Australia, Kim Petras is sure to win fans with her poppy and infectious tracks I Don’t Want it All and Heart to Break as well as the most recent hit-maker Feeling of Falling. Petras has collaborated with the likes of Charlie XCX and SOPHIE and recently just finished touring America with our own queer boy-wonder Troye Sivan.
If that’s not enough for you to cancel all other plans for Saturday March 2, then Mardi Gras also announced a whole bunch of your fav LGBTQIA DJ’s who’ll be spinning tracks at The Party including: Ben Drayton, Brooke Powers, Butch le Butch, DJ Charlie Villas, DJ Hamo, The Dollar Bin Darlings, Dom De Sousa, Feisty, HipHopHoe, Kitty Glitter, Magda Bytnerowicz, Amanda Louise, Matt Jay, SVETA, Toy Armada (PH) & DJ GRIND (USA) and Victoria Anthony.
Outside of the Parade, Mardi Gras Party is THE big event to celebrate with thousands of the queer community and is the largest LGBTQI party in the Southern Hemisphere. It’s an annual pilgrimage, a magical night of shedding inhibitions and sharing magical moments… so what are you doing still reading this, get your ticket here
