QUEERSTORIES

By Samuel Leighton-Dore

Getting tired of tight-ass Tuesdays at the local cinema, but need a little bump into hump day? Don’t sweat it. We’ve got your Tuesday night sorted this week with Late Night Library: Queerstories.

To the familiar soundtrack of Matthew Mitcham’s ukulele, join some of Sydney’s most recognised and celebrated queer voices at The Sydney Festival Village tomorrow night, as they share an eclectic literary cluster-fuck of wisdom, catharsis, LGBTQI history and humour. Curated by cabaret masterminds Blackcat Productions, you can join self-proclaimed “writer, singer and fat lady” Maeve Marsden as she hosts a number of local talents including Georgia Rose Cranko, Oscar Monaghan, Bish Marzook and Maxine Kauter.

Sound like the mid-week fix of storytelling and culture your fried post-holiday mind has been craving? Yep? Thought so. Join us tomorrow night from 7pm-8pm. Tickets are available now at SydneyFestival.org.
