Heaps Social: Sven Marquardt “Futures Past” Exhibition Opening

The Goethe-Institut Australien brought Berlin photographer Sven Marquardt to aMBUSH Gallery in Sydney as part of Head On Photo Festival last night. Here are shots from opening night which was co-presented by The House of Mince.

Since his humble beginnings in the early 1980s in East Berlin, Sven Marquardt has made a name for himself as a serious artist specialising in black & white portraits as well as fashion photography.

In addition to his artistic talent, the name Sven Maquardt is firmly connected to Berlin’s burgeoning club scene, and especially to the Bergain techno club where he has worked as a bouncer for many years.
