The Greatest Convenience Store Is DJing At Heaps Gay x Vivid Festival And You Can Pick The Songs

It’s Heaps Gay third party in partnership with Vivid Festival Sydney and we’ve got something very special to help celebrate this magnificent city – a 45 minute power set from the world’s greatest convenience store, Hazem Sedda‘s Redfern Convenience Store. Expect dancers, visuals and other madness!

Gaining Instagram notoriety for his humorous posts and admiration for customers, Sedda has been the man behind the counter at Redfern’s most beloved connivence store for over 15 years. By looking at the Instagram of Hazem you can tell his admiration for his customers from a bio that simply reads ” These are my beautiful customers who are a part of my life. Come and say hi 7am till 12:30am.”.

Hitting the decks on the 11th of June at the Factory Theatre in Marrickville, Hazem is taking suggestions for his power set of bangers. If you want to hear a particular track you’ll have to pop into Redfern Convenience Store, you might even be named customer of the day like Heaps Gay very own Kat Dopper!

In a show of support and admiration for the Redfern community similar Hazem’s we’re donating $1 from every ticket to the lovely people at 107 Projects.

Aside from Redfern Convenience Store, The Kaleidoscope, our Heaps Gay x Vivid Party, is a swirling, hallucinatory journey at Marrickville’s Factory Theatre featuring an amorphous cloud of spectacular talent across three stages, bringing you live music, DJs, performance, visual art and more.
