Marrickville, are you ready for a Street Party? Heaps Gay is back to rock your suburb.

By Sam Eacott

The Inner-west’s most accessible street party and festival is back for a second year and it’s going to be a rager. Presented by FBi Radio and proudly supported by the Inner-West Council with fresh beats  from Cakes Da Killa (NYC), plus Aussie legends Touch Sensitive (Future Classic) and Okenyo (FBi SMAC Award Nominee), we’re gonna bring the elation to our favourite Inner-west dwelling. Jan 20, LOCK. IT. IN.

Over two stages on one of Marrickville’s most secretly gorgeous streets, we’ll be partying from day til night with more DJ’s than you can shake a technicolour stick at. Music legend Lorna Clarkson (2Ser) along with classics like Pink Noise (Bondi Radio), Lovebombs, Bare Necessities, Charlie Villas, Ayebatonye, HipHopHoe and a whole crew provided by Koori Radio will be spinning music in the summer sun.

The legends at AGWA and Young Henry‘s will be providing refreshments, plus we’ve got some sneaky hard liquor in the form of the Absinthe Green Fairy to spice up your summer time fun. We’ll also have some smooth eats from the legends at The Ice Apothecary, Porteno, Continental Deli and Newtown’s Bloodwood (who are absolute legends). From booze to eats, we’ve got you covered.

Pile on top of this a whole lot of art installs from some of Sydney’s freshest plus some killer performance, and we are bloody set. Lock it in your diaries, let’s keep it large for the weekend. Tickets are $35, lock it in while they last.
